Abstract
The relevance of the research is due to the need to study the cult Buddhist structures of China, in order to identify the specifics of the construction of temple complexes, to identify the features inherent in ancient temple structures. The role of Buddhism in the historical and religious aspect is indicated. The article analyzes the experience of studying the temple complexes of the Qing Dynasty on the example of historical and cultural research in China: «The ancient Buddhist monastery 药师古刹 «Yaoshigucha». In the context of historical studies of the temple complex, the important role of the Buddhis pantheon in the religious life of the Chinese in the XXI century is revealed. The author comes to the conclusion that in each historical epoch of temple construction, there were its own distinctive features, temple architecture became the standard of power and might of emperors of a particular period, which allowed us today to judge the achievements and knowledge of ancient architects.
