Abstract

The article considers the features of maniкитайскfestation and expression of speech aggression in the Chinese language. The purpose of this study is to identify the features of manifestation of aggresкитайскsion in the modern Chinese language based on epiкитайскsodes of the Chinese television program for furкитайскther study of the patterns of this phenomenon, as well as to identify the features of its lexical feaкитайскtures at the current stage of development of the Chinese language. The study is based on such sciкитайскentific methods as contextual analysis, linguistic statistical method, intent analysis and qualitative method. The materials for the study were the 2023 -2024 releases of the Chinese television project “爱情保卫战” (“Battle for Love”). At the beginning of the article, the authors consider the problems of defining the concept of “speech aggression” in modern linguistics. Further, an attempt is made to analyze the releases of the Chinese television proкитайскgram for the use of linguistic means of conveying aggression in the Chinese language and identify their features. In the course of the study, the auкитайскthors identify five types of impoliteness strategies with the help of which the participants of the teleкитайскvision program express verbal aggression. The auкитайскthors come to the conclusion that the means of exкитайскpressing verbal aggression in the Chinese language are a variety of such techniques as the use of offenкитайскsive expressions, sarcasm, orders or prohibitions, irony, rhetorical questions, insincere politeness, which are aimed at humiliating, insulting or hurtкитайскing the dignity of the opponent.

Abstract

The description of lexical units of the class 介字 jiezi ‘preposition’ in “Ma shi wen tong” (1898) is considered. This work is of particкитайскular significance for historiographical and episteкитайскmological research. A comparison with traditional Chinese linguistics’ dictionaries of function words (Lu Yiwei’s “Yu zhu”, Yuan Renlin’s “Xu zi shuo”, Liu Qi’s “Zhu zi bian lu e”, Wang Yinzhi’s “Jing zhuan shi ci”) is made, the views of grammarians of recent times are also considered. The proviкитайскsions from Ma Jianzhong’s grammar are illustrated with examples. Methods of description, compariкитайскson, and system analysis are used; a synchronic approach with diachronic elements is applied to the material. It is shown that prior to 1898 Chiкитайскnese philologists described the usage of preposiкитайскtions, but there were no special terms to mark such words; they were often designated by the general term 辭 ci; the variant 介字 jiezi was proкитайскposed by Ma Jianzhong. “Ma shi wen tong” deкитайскscribes in detail prepositional functioning of the signs 之 zhi, 於 yu, 以 yi, 與 yu, 爲 wei, as well as some others but in less detail. In general, lexical units of this category represent a system of eleкитайскments that marks the relationship between conкитайскtent words, however, some of the units considered by Ma Jianzhong among prepositions in modern grammatical theory are usually classified as conкитайскjunctions or function words. A general classificaкитайскtion of prepositions is not given. When explaining the rules for the use of separate lexical units, their syntactic positions and the possibility of combinaкитайскtion with some words of other classes are exкитайскplained. Ma Jianzhong also notes that the use of prepositions is similar to the use of transitive verbs.

Abstract

Language and thinking are closely related to each other. The thinking of the Han people was formed in the process of developing the ancient historical culture of China. When studying traditional ways of thinking in China, it is impossible not to mention the book "Yijing" (or "Book of Changes"). Although the "Book of Changes" was originally a book about fortune telling in China, it is a generalization of the experience of Chinese civilization. For five thousand years, the ideas of the "Book of Changes" continue to exert a tangible influence on the philosophy, social and political life, religion, medicine, literature and aesthetic arts of the Chinese people.
This article focuses on a brief overview of the systemic structure and features of thinking that underlie the "Book of Changes" and further influenced the principles, specificity, as well as some features of grammar and word formation in the Chinese language. Thanks to this, students of the Chinese language will be able to better understand and master the features of the Chinese language.

Abstract

Pu Songling's (蒲松齡, 1640-1715) short story “The Queen of Purple” (絳妃) is part of the “Strange Tales from a Chinese studio” (聊齋志異) collection, but its place in the corpus of these texts is quite special. In a number of cases, for example, in the Qingketing corpus, this has been emphasised compositionally — “The Queen of Purple” completed the last volume, becoming a kind of aesthetic culmination of the whole collection. In form, this work is strikingly different from the other works in the collection, representing a classic example of fu, a prosopopoetic genre of Chinese literature, and it is created with an abundance of hidden and explicit quotations, reminiscences, allusions, etc., significantly surpassing in this matter other, even the most sophisticated texts of “Liao Zhai”. The article is devoted to the analysis of the peculiarities of this text, which has not yet been translated into Russian.

Abstract

The article analyses the role of the Amur Shipping Company in transporting timber to China from the territories of the Russian Far East in the late XX – early XXI centuries. Using unpublished archival documents, the authors consider the socioeconomic features of the development of the territories of the Russian Far East in the period under study, highlight the indicators of timber transportation between the border territories of the two countries, characterize the importance of timber exports to China by Amur Shipping Company for the development of cross-border relations between the Russian Far East and the Chinese province of Heilongjiang in the context of Russian-Chinese relations at the interstate and interregional levels. The application of the principles of objectivity and dialectics in the study made it possible to show the significance of the Amur rivermen's activities in the context of Russian-Chinese interregional cooperation. The authors conclude that timber and timber products were an important export item of the Russian Far East in the late 20th – early 21st centuries, and the Amur Shipping Company played a determining role in their export through the Amur ports. Raw material export of the Far Eastern regions, including timber, became one of the sources of budget replenishment and the basis for survival in the conditions of reforms and post-reform turn of the XX–XXI centuries.

Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of the development of agriculture in China during the reign of the Song Dynasty. The interest in this period is caused by the fact that the Chinese managed to get out of the economic crisis that began at the end of Tang's reign. One of the reasons of the rapid economic recovery is that Song agriculture was innovative for its time and created the economic base that not only helped to overcome the economic crisis, but also provoked population growth, trade and economic development. In addition, under Song, it was possible to create an agrarian base on which all subsequent dynasties were based and which modern China inherits. In this regard, the question of how and by what means this was achieved becomes relevant and significant for understanding the economic history of China.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the development of the Far Eastern cross-border area in the system of interregional interaction along the line of "twin-city" Russian-Chinese relations in the period from 1990 to 2020. Despite the availability of works by domestic and foreign authors devoted to the history of interregional cooperation between the Far Eastern regions of Russia and China, a comprehensive study of the history of the influence of Russian-Chinese "sister-city" ties on the state of various sectors of the national economy of Russian cross-border territories has not been presented so far. Unique materials, first introduced into scientific circulation (materials provided by the Ministry of Planning for the Development of the Trans-Baikal Territory, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Sakhalin Region, the Administration of the city of Komsomolsk-onAmur, the Administration of the city of Magadan, the Administration of the Nakhodkinsky Urban District, the Administration of the Ussuriysk Urban District of the Primorsky Territory) allow such a study. The article presents an analysis of the effective use of the institution of twin cities and twin regions in the framework of the implementation of joint Russian-Chinese projects in the field of economy, education, culture, health care in the Primorsky, Khabarovsk and Trans-Baikal Territories, Sakhalin, Amur and Magadan Regions. Twin-city relations played a special role in the development of the construction sector and housing and communal services in the Far Eastern crossborder area. The main problems in the development of sister-city relations were insufficient coverage in the media space of the investment attractiveness of the Far Eastern cross-border area for foreign investors; limited informing of residents of Russian and foreign cities about the tourism potential of the Far Eastern cross-border area; insufficient image positioning of the Far Eastern crossborder area abroad, including at international conferences, exhibitions, forums; a narrow range of forms of cooperation with sister cities and twin regions of the PRC.

Abstract

At the beginning of the last century, the art of guohua painting existed in a unique and contradictory cultural environment. In Chinese art circles of that time, there was a heated debate about Chinese and Western painting and the possible paths for the development of national art. One of the key figures who greatly influenced artistic thought in the 20th century was the artist and art historian Chen Shizeng. During the ten years he spent in Beijing, he thoroughly studied and reflected on the history of Chinese painting through the lens of Western art, actively engaged in artistic creation, and sought the right path for the development of guohua painting in the 20th century. During this period, Chen Shizeng gradually developed his painting ideas, which he directly connected with the social and cultural transformations of the Republican period in China.
